Dr Rohini kanta Barua law college situated at the heart of the Dibrugarh town is permanently affiliated to the Dibruagarh university which is approved by the bar council of india , new Delhi. The college was established in the year 1976 as an outcome of a public meeting of the citizens of Dibrugarh held on 20/6/1976 with Shri Promode Kumar Das, B.L In the chair as ’Dibrugarh Law College’ with the objective ‘to create a new avenue at Dibrugarh for imparting legal education’. On 4/02/1994, the Dibrugarh Law college was renamed as ‘Dr Rohini Kanta Barua Law College .Now the central library is the hub of knowledge resources. It is enriched with more than 3076 numbers of books, 74881 journals,478 reference books and a good number of magazines and newspaper. Dr Rohini Kanta Barua Law college library has developed the facilities for students one after another as per requirement of the bar council of india. It follows open access system and using Koha software .the student are allowed to borrow books against library borrower card. The internet section has 3 computers for all users to access e-resources. The library is under CCTV Surveillance.
